Before Jacques Cousteau became the face of underwater exploration, #Wisconsin’s Max Gene Nohl was already pushing the limits of what was possible beneath the waves. He helped pioneer diving and underwater filmmaking technology and, in 1937, set a deep-diving record in #LakeMichigan. Now, decades after his death, Nohl’s memoir is being published for the first time.
